Announcement: Protecting Privacy, Restoring Integrity in Mental Health Care
As the founder of HarmonyUs inc., we have always believed that therapy should be a safe space — where your story, your struggles, and your healing journey remain private and protected. Unfortunately, under the current administration, that privacy is no longer guaranteed.
Insurance companies have begun selling patient data for profit, while refusing to share the financial responsibility for care during this national emergency. They’ve cut reimbursement rates for therapists, denied claims without reason, and created barriers that delay or deny treatment — often when people need it most.
I know this pain personally.
I have lost a patient because their insurance company refused to cover the care they desperately needed. That loss haunts me every day, and I can no longer be part of a system that profits from suffering or endangers lives.
We refuse to participate in a system that exploits clients, endangers their privacy, and devalues ethical care.
Effective January 1st, Dr. Patsy Evans will no longer accept or process health insurance.
Nicki Line WILL continue to take insurance
I am moving to a transparent, universal rate of $100 per clinical hour, which includes all time spent on documentation, letters, reports, and client communication.
This change will allow me to:
- Protect the privacy and safety of every client — including those in vulnerable or targeted populations.
- Continue serving patients who move out of Florida through telehealth, without the limitations or tracking imposed by insurance networks.
- Safely provide care to our transgender and gender-diverse clients without fear of data exposure or political interference.
We understand that this may be an uncomfortable transition, but we urge you to educate yourself about the privacy risks associated with insurance-based healthcare and how your medical records may be shared or sold.

Healing should never depend on corporate permission.
It should always be your right — and your choice.
